Am I a Good Candidate for Facelift Surgery?

A facelift (rhytidectomy) is a procedure to eradicate noticible signs of aging in the facial and neck area. The common reasons for a facelift are:
  • Sagging skin in the mid-facial area
  • Creases right under the eyelids
  • Deep Creases alongside the nose that extend to the corners of the mouth
  • Fat that has recessed or is out of place
  • Sagging around the jowls due to loss of facial muscle

What to expect after the surgery?

As with most surgeries, you will experience a level of discomfort after the surgery. Dr. Salomon will prescribe medications to help alleviate pain for the first few days following your surgery. Most likely, you will be instructed to keep your head elevated to reduce post-operative swelling that might occur. Numbness in the area after surgery is typical and can last a few days.
